At Beth She'an

This is where the Philistines hung King Saul's body over the city walls.
It became a thriving Roman city with over 40,000 inhabitants by the 3rd century, and a center of significant Christian influence in the region.

In 749 an earthquake leveled the city. Archeologists found a skeleton under a fallen pillar in the temple. "Bones" had gone back to try and steal a small chest of temple gold, which he was unable to spend at his final destination.
